What you’ll find out

- Each sense uses a body part: eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin.
- Animals use their senses to find food and stay safe.
No sign-up and no real names. In the lesson you check your understanding as you read, and practise until it sticks.
Five ways to find out
You have five senses that tell you about the world. You see with your eyes and hear with your ears. You smell with your nose, taste with your tongue, and feel things by touching them with your skin.
Animals use their senses too
Animals use their senses too. A dog has an amazing nose and can smell things from far away. An owl’s big eyes help it see in the dark. A rabbit’s long ears pick up the sound of danger, so it can run away.
