Litter can hurt living things
Sometimes people drop litter on the ground. Wind and rain can carry it into rivers and the sea. Plastic litter can hurt fish, turtles and birds, which sometimes mistake it for food. Litter always belongs in a bin.
Ways you can help
You can help keep Earth clean. Always put litter in a bin, and carry a bottle you can fill again and again. Turn off the tap while you brush your teeth, and sort paper, cans and bottles so they can be recycled.
