Parts for moving about
Animals have body parts that help them move about. A fish uses its fins to swim, and a bird flaps its wings to fly. A frog has long, strong back legs, so it can jump a long way. Each part has a job to do.
Parts for eating and staying safe
Animals have body parts that help them eat. A bird uses its beak to pick up seeds. Other parts keep animals safe. A turtle can hide inside its hard shell, and a hedgehog rolls into a ball of sharp spines.
