Every animal has a home
A fish lives in water, a bird builds its nest in a tree, and a camel lives in the hot, dry desert. Each animal lives in a place where it can find the food, water and shelter it needs. That place is its habitat.
Bodies that fit their homes
Animals have bodies that help them live in their homes. A duck has wide, flat feet for paddling through water. A polar bear has thick fur to keep warm in the snow. A camel can go for days without a drink.
